There are just too many issues for this to be considered one of the PSPs ‘ best. Tagline Parasite Eve takes place over a six day span in in 1997. The graphics are fantastic with some great lighting effects and good-looking textures. The game could have been one of the last great PSP games if it just had more polish. I died multiple times because of how linear the levels are and I just couldn’t maneuver properly. Set in modern-day New York City, Parsite Eve puts the player in the role of NYPD officer Aya Brea as she attempts to solve the mystery of Eve, a young woman. However, many of these great games never saw sequels on the PS2, and some didnt get.

The platforming is atrocious and even climbing ladders can be hard. From Western platformers to Eastern JRPGs the PlayStation had it all. You get a good run through a level then suddenly are have to run from some unbeatable monster. The action never lets up, but the pacing is so poorly balanced. Some bosses I died on dozens of times and nearly gave up - they have multiple life bars and if you don’t beat them a certain way you never will. If you shoot stuff long enough you get Overdrive which allows you to do massive damage, but there’s a weird pause between every few shots and it wastes precious time. The bosses are extraordinarily tough and you will die dozens of times. Parasyte: Part 1 was released in 2014, with the sequel, Parasyte: Part 2 releasing in 2015. Sometimes you have to destroy nodes to advance, but it stops being fun less than halfway through. Too bad there was no Parasite Eve 3 to follow up on these massive sequel hooks : The report released to the public explained the events as an armed cultist.
